This was Mike's entry to the Canada's Hockey Anthem Challenge competition, sponsored by the CBC - Canada's national broadcaster - to find new signature music for their long-running and top-rated TV show "Hockey Night in Canada".
This is a series of atmospheric musical sketches of nature's landscapes. The pieces have a "new age" feel, using gentle rhythms and a combination of electronic and acoustic instruments to create lush yet uncomplicated settings.
On the "Portraits: Music for Relaxation" CD the natural sounds of these landscapes are blended with the music, a combination that makes for a truly relaxing listening experience.
